If you’ve been around for a while, you know I’m passionate about swapping out toxic products. But I wasn’t always like this. I used to think that if something was sold in a drugstore or labeled “dermatologist approved,” it had to be safe.

Spoiler: it’s not.

Here are three products I’ll never use again—and the non-toxic alternatives that changed everything for me.

1. CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion

This lotion contains chemical UV filters like Homosalate, Octinoxate, and Octocrylene—which are linked to hormone disruption.
Plus parabens, BHT, aluminum starch, and synthetic silicones.

There are better, non-toxic options that protect your skin and your hormones!

If you want a clean moisturizer with SPF, I recommend:

If you want a clean SPF (no tint):
– Babo Botanicals
– Badger
– Sky and Sol

If you want a tinted SPF:

2. Dove Deodorant

Aluminum-based deodorants work by blocking your sweat glands. That’s not detoxing—it’s trapping toxins inside. I used to get irritation and weird underarm bumps and had no idea it was linked to what I was putting on my skin daily.

What I use now:

3. Conventional Razors with Lubricating Strips

I never questioned these… until I learned those strips are full of synthetic fragrance, dyes, and harsh chemicals.

What I use now:
