Over the last few years of sharing my clean living journey, I’ve gotten hundreds of DMs from women who want to make safer swaps but don’t know where to start. I remember feeling that same overwhelm—standing in store aisles Googling ingredients, wondering if the “clean” label meant anything. That’s why I’m so passionate about making this easier for you.

So if you’re overwhelmed by labels or unsure what to trust, this post is for you 👇

💬 “Are Native products non-toxic?”


They used to be. But Native swapped essential oils for “fragrance,” which means we don’t know what’s actually inside. Not the worst brand out there, but definitely not the cleanest anymore.

💬 “Wait… is CeraVe SPF actually bad?? I thought it was dermatologist-recommended?”

It sounds trustworthy… but the ingredients tell a different story.

Most CeraVe SPF products contain:

  • Chemical UV filters like homosalate, octinoxate, and octocrylene — all linked to hormone disruption

  • Parabens + silicones that can irritate sensitive skin

  • And it’s often paired with fragrance or questionable preservatives

“Dermatologist-recommended” doesn’t mean non-toxic. I used to trust it blindly — until I read the label.
